Feeding Families

Millions of families in the slums of India suffer from poor nutrition each year as a result of extreme poverty and disease.

Most people living in these areas work daily-wage, manual labor jobs that do not provide them with the income needed to sustain a family. Those with HIV are unable to work and provide for their families.

Your generous gift helps ensure that families affected by HIV will receive proper nutrition and allows us to share Jesus with those who have never heard the gospel message.

Leprosy Care

The historic fear of leprosy has led to the continued social stigma against those with the disease. People with leprosy are considered outcasts, unwanted, and untouchable in Indian society.

Even though leprosy is rarely transmitted, people with the disease are forced to live outside the cities in special colonies and are unable to hold employment.

Send Hope supports two leper colonies in which individuals are given medical attention, hygiene education, and nutrition. Our residents are shown the unconditional love, grace, and mercy of Jesus. Your gift provides food and medical care to an affected individual who would not otherwise receive care.

Water Wells

Clean water is not always easily accessible to communities living in small towns, villages, and slums. Many people have no choice but to walk long distances just to collect water every day. Water wells support the children, caregivers, and communities living in and around our Homes of Hope and community centers. Your gift supports the construction of new wells that will provide clean water to communities in need.

Medical Support

The medical needs in India are vast, especially among the poorest populations where there are high rates of communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, influenza, and hepatitis. Chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease are also very common. We believe in caring for the sick and needy within our communities. Your gift supports the children and staff across our various projects, as well as members of our churches and communities, who are in need of urgent medical care. If necessary, funds are utilized to cover hospital bills, medication, and chronic illness treatment.

Widow Assistance

With the continued presence of HIV/AIDs and societal pressures on women in India, many are left with few options when they are suddenly left widowed. Many of these women have lost their husbands due to HIV and often suffer from HIV themselves, making it difficult to hold a steady job.

We believe in empowering women to build a life for themselves through self-employment. Your gift will provide a widow with the means to earn a sustainable income, i.e. a pair of goats, rice grinder, market cart, or sewing machine, to provide for herself and her family.
